Our aids and adaptation assessments are provided to individuals who have a disability which impact on their normal day to day activities such as dressing, washing, bathing, and getting on and off the toilet, and preparing and cooking a meal. Aids and adaptations assessment also includes issues such as; employment, accommodation, educationand leisure opportunities. Our Occupational Therapist are highly skilled and can provide advice on more suitable housing, suggest new ways to complete certain tasks, recommend minor or major home adaptations and offer small equipment aids.

An aids and adaptations assessment can be completed in the individuals own home or within the workplace environment. Our Occupational Therapists have an in depth understanding of disabling conditions and how this can impact on an individual's day to day functioning.There is a huge range of aids and adaptations available which aim to improve an individual's independence and their quality of life. It is vital however extremely important to seek professional advice when purchasing any piece of adaptive equipment.
An aids and adaptations assessment would be suitable for an individual, if they have any of the following difficulties.
An aids and adaptations assessment is used to determine what difficulties an individual has and what aids or adaptations would be beneficial to their independence. If you feel that you yourself or a family member is experiencing any of the above difficulties, then anaids and adaptations assessment maybe suitable.

Our aids and adaptation assessment will often be carried out once, with a review option if needed to provide advice on safety and fitting.
Our aids and adaptation assessmentswill assess an individual's home and/or their abilities to complete everyday activities. This enables our therapists to gain a greater understanding of problems they are experiencing and why. The assessment includes a detailed discussion and practical assessment and will provide reasons for why an individual is experiencing their difficulties.
Following an aids and adaptation assessment a therapists will discuss with the individual the outcome and detail why an individual is having difficulties. An inclusive report documenting what aids or adaptations are required to improve an individual's independence can be provide upon request.
